hello christmas
Our little plywood Christmas tree is up, a wreath on the front door and some old school fairy lights strung on our balcony rail. I spent some time up on the balcony earlier tonight and it is so magical and romantic with the fairy lights.
Do you think it is too early to put up the tree, is yours up yet? We have decided to host Christmas lunch at our house this year so I'm thinking we will also put up our big tree as well. It takes for-ev-er to put up, whereas the plywood tree only takes about a minute to assemble. Hence, slacko here has only put up the 'easy' (but cute) tree.
How are your Christmas plans coming along? Have you started your shopping yet? With two birthdays in our family this week, I'm still buying birthday presents, I've not had a chance to even think about Christmas pressies yet.

It's very cute, and very modern! Like it! I always put up my tree in the beginning of December, but only because my birthday is at the end of the month, so I don't want it 'crowded' by Christmas!!

PS Did you see The Block tonight?? Little bit disappointed I really wanted Erin & Jake to win! I don't normally get reality TV but that show had me hook, line and sinker!!!
Hey Julie cute tree and from one Florence fanatic to another, I love the Florence fabric on the ottoman. I haven't put my tree up yet. A bit of a ritual with that. Get the tree up, decorate with pretty things, sit back and admire the scene - ALL WHILE ENJOYING A BOTTLE OF BUBBLY!!(or 2) I've got a Christmas giveaway happening if you want to take a look...Terese
ReplyDeleteHazel - OMG I did watch it. It was weird how they all sold for such different prices. So happy for John and Neisha, they are lovely. Feeling very sorry for Chez and Brenton more than anything, absolutely devastating.
ReplyDeleteI usually wait unti 1st December so yes your a little early but with that funky tree I can see why you were! Looks fabulous. I think you should go to the effort and put up the big tree too ... we're allowed to go a bit overtime this time of year and yes that includes lots of seafood and wine too :)
ReplyDeleteoh i love that plywood tree! this year i only have a small space (no room for even a big tree!) i put up my little one on the mantle last weekend and decorated! it's on my blog:

i haven't normally bothered with christmas decorations but this with the little one, we are going to get a real tree and i've been buying up decorations.
ReplyDeleteWow I love your Christmas tree! It looks great! It's so pretty if that where mine I wouldn't even bother with the traditional one! I've bought all my presents now which is great but I have no idea yet how they'll be wrapped. Such fun!
ReplyDeleteI've seen that plywood tree in shops here and thought it would make a great Christmas tree. I'm waiting for all the Christmas sales before I buy our first tree. And I can relate - we have 3 birthdays in December but luckily I have all their gifts sorted and most of my Christmas shopping - can't stand crowds or the stress or leaving it too the last minute!
ReplyDeleteBecause we are moving house on the 18th Dec we sadly cant do any decorating yet, but boy do I want to!! Bring on the tree and fiary lights I say!!
